This have been an extremely busy week for me. I didn't feel well and I even stayed home from school wednesday to get better. Thursday I had to get up really early ( read: half past five!) to go to Utrecht. There were the auditions for the study I really love to do next year called theatre and education. It was an amazing day, and I learned a lot. Unfortunately I didn't make it through to the next round so I am not going to do that study next year. I'm really dissapointed of course and I am now doubting about what to do next year.
Today I went skating with a friend because the weather was so wonderful! it really felt like spring. We skated 26 kilometres and we want a little applause for that. To remain the springfeeling I want to share a song with you. It's from an irish singer-songwriter who is going to perform on Lowlands 2012.
This weekend I followed an "animatietraining" from de Animatie Compagnie. During the weekend we learned a lot about the work on campings and they judged us. The weekend was amazing! I've danced my butts of played a lot of theatre. To make it even more exciting I got mail yesterday that they want to hire me! So I've got a summer job! I don't know yet on which camping but probably it will be in france!
The entire group
This was my group, as you can see we were the chickens!
Me as "Saartje staartje" my twin sister for on the campings
This was my favourite song this weekend. So get out of your chairs and sing and dance along!
Yesterday I decided to tidy up my closet because there are a lot of clothes that don't fit and I never wear anymore, and it's a shame it stays in my closet unused. Some of them are clothes that really don't fit any more, but it hurts too much to throw them away! (I'm too sentimental I know!) However I did manage to fill a big bag of clothes that I give away to someone at school who collects clothes for those who are less fortunate.
I have to admit that this skirt already lay in my closet for one year untouched and I really have to realise now that size 36 is way past;) It's a shame
So I didn't really do a lot interesting apart from learning french words for a test this friday and listening to the same song over and over again.
Hey there!
Right now I'm lying in my bed because I'm to tired to do anything. The reason: Carnaval! Sounds like fun? Wel, it was! And above all, a lot of nice pictures were made of us in our lovely costumes.
(The only bad thing of carnaval are the songs stuck in my head)
Thursday night I felt like a girl in an american highschool movie. Me and my friends went to a rollerdisco! More than driving rounds wasn't possible for me but there were people who were really good in dancing on rollerskates and that was so cool to see! I turned out to be best in making spectacular crashes!
The weather has been really awful whole day long. Actually already for a couple of days. Lately I've been busy with my "profielwerkstuk" for school a lot. It is a big project which counts for your school exams. I want to focus on theatre, the way you play emotions and what the audience really wants to see. Today I also got really excited about the plans a friend and I are making. We want to go skiing together somwhere in the christmas holiday: excited!
The photo's are from sunday morning, when I still thought it was going to be good weather. I am still finding out a way to make good photo's of myself, but didn't succeed yet.
Oh and one last thing, on some blogs you may find shoplogs quite often. (Hopefully for me) you won't find any on mine, cause I'm trying not to buy any clothes for a whole year. I am on three months now so I still have 9 to go. If I manage to stick with this idea, a friend of mine will take me to dinner, but if I do buy something I will take her out for dinner!
This weekend I have to play three shows and tonight we played the first one. I'm so tired, but it was so much fun! I can't wait till I'm on that stage again tomorrow. Today I picked the photo's of Lowlands and unfortunately the most pictures failed. When I saw such a failed photo when I was younger, I always screamed "It is snowing!"
The weather is getting better and there are so much fun things to do, but instead I am sitting home learning for the upcoming testweek. I have to get good grades, otherwise I might not pass this year. So no sewing, watching tv and less on the internet this week and a lot more in the studybooks.
As you can see I have a new header, made by Loni ,this is her blog. I like it a lot, tell me what you think?
My google account is playing tricks on me, because for a couple of days already I can't leave messages on other blogs. Than I get sent back to the homepage of blogspot.com. So please stop doing it, cause you stupid google makes me even more in a bad mood than I already was.
Thank you!
Hi dear followers, I am back in Holland. I am very tired, sunburned and my head is full of new thing but it was a really exciting week. I haven't learned more spanish than "la cuenta por favor" and "gracias" but I did have a great time and made some new friends with girls from school I usually didn't get on with. I made a lot of photo's and tomorrow or monday I will post some.
Almost every moment of your life reminds you of a song and holidays do aswell. I will always think of this week when I hear this song.
Tonight is the first performance of the show of my theatre school and to be honest I am quite nervous! There is a kind of tradition that after the first show everyone is dressed up a bit gala like so I decided to wear the pink dress I bought at Queensday. Unfortunately when I wore it yesterday I teared the bottom of it. So now I have to wear just a simple black dress tonight. I do have some photo's for you to show!
Oh and one last thing, I have a lookbook and I posted this look on my lookbook and I want to have a hype thing on my blog (I don't know what it's called) but I couldn't get that, could anyone help me with that?
Today I've been to Amsterdam with my art class from school. I wasn't prepared that good so when the bus was heading to Amsterdam this morning I had no idea what was on the planning for the day. It turned out we were going to "Het amsterdams muziektheater" and "Het stedelijk museum" for a tour. The tour in the theatre was really awesome! It is the 'home-base" of the dutch opera and the dutch ballet. On the stage people were busy with props for plays and it was all very big there. We also saw the comstume studio and make-up and hair rooms. There also was a group of ballet dancers in class and we were aloud to watch the lesson behind little windows. It was supercool! They were so good and it was so cool to see them dance.
The museums was a little more boring, I do like museums and art but our guide was really dull. But the visit to the theatre made my day. We were aloud to enjoy the sun for only half an hour but it was worth it. It was a great day.
Yesterday I made a little etui, it was the first time I sewed a zipper so I am quite proud of myself!
So this is from the movie 'confessions of a shopaholic' and I've seen the tv-commercial like fifty times this week. Today I had to think about this movie cause I almost had a simmilar situation. I saw these amazing white summer shorts in the H&M store today and I wanted to buy them, but because I am a real hesitator I didn't. Tonight I found out that I had less than €2.00 on my bank account so it would have been an embarrassing moment! Tomorrow is an early rise, so good night!
To be honest I don't care about make-up a lot, most of the time I go off with a bith of mascara only. However today I felt like buying some make-up. So I bought a new mascara for at my dad's, face powder and 3 shades of brown eyeshadow. I am also going to put brown nailpolish on this evening so appearantly today I'm in a brown mood.
Tomorrow we are going to have dinner in the restaurant "Shabu Shabu" in Rotterdam, maybe you have aver heard of it. I have never been there before but am already looking forward to it!
Dutch people might have heard this song on television in the coca cola ad, and it is sticking in my head now.
Every year while everyone is celebrating spring, I am having colds all the time. So while writing this I'm in my cosy bed. When ill I'm always reading lots of books. Now I am reading in a book called "the beach cafe" written by Lucy Diamond. It is one of the books I got for my birthday and it is hilarious.
So this book is making my staying-in-bed day a lot sunnier!
Maybe I am too old for it but I never understood the Justin Bieber hype. So I concluded that boys from his age trying to be a superstar aren't my piece of cake, but no I found out of a young boy called Greyson Chance and his voice is amazing! So I would say, enjoy your day and give it a listen!
